I too ran into this problem. A tip from Gottfired and Justin @ DWA helped solve this problem.

The key think is to install the plug in for Shock Wave - this is available at www.macromedia.com . i followed the instructions to download the plug in and it worked with my browser (Netscape). I think this will solve your problem.

Me too, Internet explorer crashes and I get the Doctor Watson
meltdown window. I'm running Win NT on a dual PII system and
I've never had a problem w/ Shockwave or pushed data streams.

I get the chart, the shockwave DWA intro, then crash :-(

EDIT: speaking of meltdowns, the Dow fought to hold 10,520 and
failed...look out below
