Transformation Processing Inc. - Market Update
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 1999-- Transformation Processing Inc. (OTC BB:TPII) is pleased to provide the investment community with updates relating to its business operations.

The Company has received numerous questions relating to the progress of current contracts and the status of partnership relationships in which the Company is involved. The following is a brief but factual review of notable contracts and partnerships addressing these topics.

TPI Major Contracts

A snapshot of major contracts which include:

1. ICI/ADP (New York) chose TPI to migrate their signature product, Impact to a Sun Microsystems platform, using Sybase database technology. The project is on target and is due for final delivery in August of 1999. The significance of this contract is twofold. First, it is the largest transformation project the Compnay has ever been awarded and secondly, successful delivery will open the door to other opportunities with clients requiring software migration.

2. A major Canadian retailer contracted TPI to validate received inventories and conduct a Year 2000 discovery of embedded building systems for over 500 facilities. Recently, the client expanded its Y2K initiative and, in turn expanded its relationship with TPI.

3. In September 1998, The Town of Markham awarded a contract to TPI to provide consulting services to review their Year 2000 Embedded Project. In March of 1999, Markham awarded TPI a contract expansion.

4. A contract between Advanced Elastomer Systems and TPI has come to a successful completion for the assessment of Production Core Business Systems, Building Systems and IT.

5. Ongoing Sales Force Automation projects with companies such as Caradon Indalex, Intelatech, ADP Canada and QMI remain as a great source of recurring revenues as initial projects have expanded over time. TPI continues to provide product, services and training to these clients.

ACTIVE PARTNERSHIPS

1. TPI formed an alliance with Corepoint, an IBM software company, to resell its customer relationship management (CRM) suite of solutions. TPI was among the first 2 companies in North America to sign on with IBM and they approached TPI as a result of our growing reputation in the area of Groupware and SFA. This will bolster TPI's Groupware solutions set, and put TPI in the forefront as a leader in this growing industry. This relationship also provides TPI with the ability to approach the non-lotus notes market with a strong CRM solution.

2. TPI acts as a reseller of Synergistics' dynamic product, Prevail, a Notes based solution with an emphasis on Knowledge Management is one of the three top software solutions on the market. TPI ensures that final delivery is customized to meet their client's business needs.

6. In June 1998, TPI reached an agreement with BigiSoft, Inc. (formerly BMR Software) to be a primary distributor of BigiSoft's Vertex 2000 for Canada, and a non-exclusive distributor for commonwealth countries and the U.S. Vertex 2000 is an object-code-driven conversion utility that scans object code (not source code) for Year 2000 violations. BigiSoft estimates that Vertex 2000 will work significantly faster than manual and/or source code conversion approaches.
