Sure Paul, Microsoft waited JUST for AMD to get in all K7 optimiztions before they released their next big thing. "Windows 2000 will be a SCREAMER on the K7 BOILER machines !" So that means it may outperform Coppermine on 2000 since Coppermine won't be able to get more out of optimizations since that core has been here for so long and previously optimized.
