As for their cash position - I believe they issued a private placement @5 weeks ago. I could be wrong but it may have helped the low numbers.

Just spoke with new CEO Mr.Gonzo. (sorry didn't ask about cash position ). To a previous SI posting question - YES revenue was collected from the national advertisers - Molson, Husky Oil, proctor & gamble and furthermore the advertisers paid for distribution and CD pressing costs. Toronto and vancouver deal details soon to be announced. TSE listing to follow following approval at next board meeting. Mr. Gonzo also stands differently than Hammet when it comes to promoting the company stock. I got the feeling he's agressive and assures me promoting the company will be a daily ritual. he's been with CTV for a long time and his experience should bring a few interesting positive surprises to investors. (This guy believes so much in CY he gave up his post with CTV - a bigger company)
In all -I feel good about this change.

The reduction in the cash position occured in the last 3 months of last year (it felt from 827,092$ to 39,539$ in that period). If you look at the bottom of the "Statements of change in financial position", you can see that it was 39,539$ at the beginning of the present year and that there was an INCREASE of 78,548$ in the first 9 months of this year, bringing it to 118,087$.

As for the "Fatcat salaries, bonuses and promo costs" they are included in the "General and administrative, marketing and selling" expenses, wich DECREASED by 115,497$ versus 1998.

Do you think CY will sink even deeper on Friday?
