O. Media Inc. to Acquire Mortgage Banking Firm
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 1999--O. Media Inc. (OTC BB:OMDA) Thursday announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Northeastern Mortgage Investment Corp. and Summit Financial Mortgage Corp. in a stock transaction.

The two mortgage banking firms will be combined to form a new wholly owned subsidiary of O. Media. Immediate plans for this financial subsidiary include the use of the Internet for mortgage and consumer loan origination, as wells as credit card issuance.

Anthony R. Cairo, currently chief executive officer of Summit Financial Mortgage, will be the president of the new financial subsidiary. Cairo has 18 years of experience in the finance industry. Michael Beyer, currently president and chief executive officer of Northeastern Mortgage Investment, will be the chief operation officer of the new financial subsidiary. Beyer founded Northeastern Mortgage Investment in 1993, which has originated more than 200 million in mortgage loans. Dominick Arcamone will be the executive vice president of the new financial subsidiary. Arcamone assisted in the development of the FHA 203 K and 203B programs of Summit Financial Mortgage.

Philip Sirlin, president and CEO of O. Media, stated, "We expect that the addition of a national mortgage, consumer loan, and credit card origination Web site will complement O. Media's financially oriented Web sites and substantially accelerate O. Media's growth rate."
