Why not just overload their email with replies...rather than use a lawyer working for free (yeah RIGHT!).

I've heard this is a hoax.

Permit the Federal Government to charge 5 cents surcharge on every e-mail delivered by billing Internet Service Providers at source.

Postal Service charging for email? Sounds just like the phone company hoax, charging for long distance from a bit ago: #reply-9757201

Somebody's having a little 'fun'…no more substance than that. Should re-do Travolta's "Urban Cowboy" movie into "Urban Legend".

This is so much BS... If not a HOAX it won't last. Email's only realtionship to snail mail is the term "mail".. The alternative is not mailing a postcard and waiting a week for it to arrive, the alternative is the phone and fax machine. Also, the "U.S." Postal Service is a private organization (did you know that) and can only charge for services on a cost recovery basis.

Next they will be taxing us on phone usage because we didn't use the snail mail...

(although two years ago Clinton proposed to tax us on the rental value of our homes even if we lived in them... (True!!!)
