Another point on the 1 million chips sold....

Look back at what happened to the V2 when initial demand skyrocketed. Everybody wanted the chip then there was a glut / pricewar that drove down ASP's from an overstocked channel and heightened competition. Now, if a majority of that 1 mill was to OEM's... that is a different story. I don't think we'll see nVidia repeat 1 million a month, and if they do, I think their chip ASP's will degrade quickly. Competition from V3 3000 (and 3500) and Matrox g400 max should cramp nVidia's sales quite a bit.

A couple things about sharky's 770U review...

I get the impression that Diamond is skimping on chip purchases, buying lower quality production chips (example: Hercules TNT2 ultra at 190+ clock and Diamond struggling at 175?) One thing I did not notice, does the 770u have active cooling? The hercules? If I remember correctly I think the preproduction card for diamond had a fan.

Once again, nVidia delivers as expected... below the bar.
