>>Considering some of the alternatives I've seen the markets present lately

I have seen lots of good plays JAY, but it ain't PAIR holding me back,
its the frigging WSTL and the market weakness ( H/S top being put up here). The Russell looks like summer is going be good still. It has held this weakness eexceptionally well. Of course, we have another bond market tank to withstand, yet too.

What plays do you see? I still like BMCS, APCC, TLAB ( maybe), RMDY. Also COVD could rebound here and Northpoint is the best IPO speculation of recent times. Of course the CS, COMS takeout food works when the price is right.

Company Press Release
PairGain Expands CLEC Business With PG-FlexPlus Win At ATG
TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--PairGain® Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:PAIR - news), a premiere solutions supplier to the telecommunications industry, Tuesday announced that Advanced TelCom Group Inc. (ATG), a rapidly growing Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), has standardized on PairGain's PG-FlexPlus(TM) platform for delivering quality voice and high-speed data services.

PairGain is supplying ATG with a turnkey solution, including site engineering, assembly and installation of PG-FlexPlus hardware and software. The agreement is the inaugural sale of PG-FlexPlus for PairGain and represents the product's successful penetration into the CLEC market through PairGain's total solutions approach.

PG-FlexPlus enables ATG to deliver integrated voice and data effectively to its customers by supporting multi-line voice/data services to line-powered remotes. PG-FlexPlus fits firmly into ATG's plans to serve middle size markets with voice and data service.

''We were looking for the right solution to maximize the capability of the unbundled loop network. PairGain's PG-FlexPlus helps facilitate delivery and enables ATG to better serve its customers,'' said Chuck Seefloth, executive director of field operations for ATG.

''Of course we're excited about the early sale of our PG-FlexPlus platform. But the application that ATG is deploying is even more exciting, because it demonstrates the flexibility of the product,'' said Bill Fox, vice president of PairGain's Subscriber Carrier Business Unit. ''ATG is maximizing traffic concentration by placing the PG-FlexPlus GR-303 concentration component in their central offices and PG-FlexPlus shelves at their co-location sites.''

''PG-FlexPlus offers ATG the valuable combination of GR-303 concentration with multi-lines services. PairGain's technology partnership with ANDA Networks, which includes the integration of GR-303 traffic concentration into PG-FlexPlus, has been key to our success with ATG,'' said Brian Van Voorhis, product manager for the PG-FlexPlus.

PairGain and ANDA announced their technology partnership on May 10 of this year.
