Excerpts from today's Nealz Nuze

WHAT LED YOUR NEWS LAST NIGHT?

I don't know what it was. But I think I know what it wasn't. It wasn't the China espionage scandal.

Here we have what some experts have described as the most damaging spying scandal in the history of this country, and on most television news programs it comes after the latest stabbings, electrocutions and car wrecks. Now -- don't be quick to blame the local stations for this. They are driven by consultants more than ideology. They know that the average viewer is far more interested in the blood and gore -- and almost any story that doesn't really have an impact on their own life -- than they are on such mundane matters as stolen nuclear secrets. We truly are getting just what we deserve.

WONDER WHAT THEY LEFT OUT?

By now you should know that about 30% of the Cox Report was censored by the White House. The 70 % that made it to us is damaging enough, can you just imagine how Clinton would look if the could see the redacted material.

Look, folks. After a few days thought on this subject it occurs to me that it really isn't all that difficult to understand.

Yes -- spying took place during the Bush and Reagan administrations. There is no evidence, however, that these two Presidents knew about it. Maybe they should have, but they didn't. This may point to incompetence, but not to corruption or outright dishonesty.

Clinton? Different story. He knew about the espionage. He was informed. He did nothing until the heat was turned up. He saw to it that the Congress was kept in the dark. He facilitated their espionage by easing restrictions on the transfer of sensitive technology. He did this over the protests of some of his advisors and the Pentagon. He did it to keep the money pipeline open. He knew those campaign donations from China were illegal --- but he put his quest for continued political power above the law and above the security interests of the United States.

Now the Democratic party is circling the wagons to protect Clinton. Not because they particularly like him (they don't) but because they cannot throw him to the wolves without looking bad. They brought this pathetic liar to the dance, now they have to dance with him. Democrats are pushing the "let's just move on" line. They're saying that we shouldn't be trying to lay blame. Yeah, right.

PLEASE A LIBERAL TODAY

Don't to anything to excel. Don't do anything that makes you stand out above the crowd. Don't accomplish more than that clown next to you. Don't revel in your individuality. Be a part of the crowd, a cog in the wheel.

There, don't you feel better?

JUST LET A CONSERVATIVE SAY THIS ABOUT A LIBERAL

Spike Lee, a sub-Shaharan Nubian American, recently said that NRA President Charlton Heston "should be shot."

Oh, you didn't know that? You haven't seen the uproar on the news? You haven't read the headlines about the hate-filled statements of Spike Lee? You haven't witnessed the protests at his films?

Gee. Wonder why?

It couldn't be because Spike Lee is a liberal and the person who he said should be shot is a conservative, could it?

HERE'S SOMETHING ELSE THAT ISN'T ON THE FIRST PAGE

Clinton's approval ratings. They're down. The CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll shows that Clinton has the lowest approval rating since 1996. In March it was at 64%. In April it went down to 60%. The May figure is 53%. The poll also shows that a 49% minority favors the US involvement in the NATO war against Yugoslavia.
