Hey George - It's the graphic from the Annual meeting:
Message 9500768

<<He had a very good slide showing Ancor 8 and 16 port switches between a line of servers and various storage devices (JBOD, RAID, and tape).>>

I think it was also used on the cover of the Annual Report.

BTW, Cal said that the first use of 2 gbps would be between the FC switches and the storage servers (the "buildings" just above the switch on the graphic. The objects below the switch are the storage devices to which George referred.

Greg

WOW! is all I can say. The Investor Relations Page is a great place to learn about THE COMPANY.

The color change is interesting, too.

Awesome.

Wayne

From the Intelligent Solutions Web Site. Note the Sun reference:
Storage Area Networks - New Directions in Storage Access
Ancor's Fibre Channel switches have become the driving force in today's SAN revolution. As bandwidth, distance, and management requirements grow, the need for Storage Area Networks will increase, eventually becoming necessary in demanding storage enterprises. Ancor's new generation of GigWorks Fibre Channel Switches are essential in creating resilient, intelligent, SAN fabrics. Ancor's switches are fast, reliable, and equipped to manage vast amounts of data traffic over simultaneous connections. Ancor's switch family maximizes the capacity of "any-to-any" storage architectures enabling:

Universal, shared storage access
Centralized data management
Increased distance spans
Cost effective, modular scalability
Independent addition of additional servers or storage
Intelligent Solutions and Ancor Communications have partnered to offer the finest in Fibre Channel SAN solutions.

To implement this revolutionary technology, a System Integrator must understand all concepts of Fibre Channel technology:

High performance networks
Relationship of storage devices to network topologies
File locking techniques
Security
Fibre Channel disk drives and tape devices
Fibre Channel over fibre and copper
Nuances of heterogeneous host environments
In order to realize the full benefits of Fibre Channel SANs, it is necessary to partner with a full service system integrator who is determined to make your SAN a success. As a Sun Microsystems Enterprise Elite value-added reseller, Intelligent Solutions has been implementing very high performance open systems solutions since 1994. We realize the promise of SANs and have the knowledge and talent to make your vision a reality. Our customers demand very fast, dependable systems, which we are dedicated to provide. Our business is focused on designing, integrating, installing and maintaining the very best technology available.
