Bloomberg machines are in every major trading firm in the world. When all those traders who use those machines saw the stories about HITT, they realized that HITT was not a great stock to own. That caused the stock to go down. Plus the story was in the newspapers. When typical investors read the HITT story in the newspapers, they realized HITT was not a great stock to own. Discussing news stories on SI or any chat rooms is not a crime, and that garbage lawsuit will be laughed out of court.

Eims2000, I thought you wrote a great post but left out one small point. Bob needs to learn how to read the news. He will then understand that good news causes stocks to go up and bad news causes stocks to go down.
