Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:8-9

Not too hard to see what's being sowed in your life, how about a change?

Don't take this as an insult, take it as a constructive lifechanging challenge.

Chris

Note that Chris is back. It does no good to try to reason with him. He is utterly convinced that he--and only he--is living a Christian life. Personally, I think he should spend less time haranguing at his PC and more time in good works. I refuse to waste my God-given time and mind engaging him.

A question: today I was remembering today a story and a short novel of Tolstoy's, The Raid and The Cossacks, respectively. I recall that one or both dealt with encounters between Russians and Chechens, but I can't remember which, and I'm not sure I'm right. I do recall that both were remarkable pieces of writing, and I wonder how modern Russians feel when reading them.

I recall on particular comment from The Raid, something about how the whole affair resembled a man swinging an axe violently in the air, hitting nothing. It amazes me sometimes how little armies have learned about fighting guerillas.

Were there Chechens in one or both of those stories, or do I have it all wrong, as usual?
