Intel will not be displaced from the Value Segment anytime soon

Intel wants to eliminate the value segment. There isn't much difference in performance between a $60 CPU and $600 CPU. The plan for Celeron has always been to put the competition out of business, and then have Celeron disappear too.

Unfortunately for Intel, the huge amount of money to be made will keep the competition alive.
