It was an excellent debate (considering the forum). The bull was not nearly as annoying as Joe Battipaglia.

Jim Grant was typicaly splendid. When asked about the profitable Internet stocks, he said, "This is a very intimate group." <g> He mentioned Merck and AOL having similar market caps, while Merck has 10 times the revenue base. "You are paying extravagant sums of money for technology that is in the business of making itself obsolete." He also compared Sabre (owner of Travelocity) to Priceline, citing Priceline's meager $20 million revenue base vs. its $16 billion cap. He also mentioned shop-bots. The bull pointed out that brands do have power on the Internet, and that Amazon keeps customers without the lowest price.

I also saw Meehan, and MB's summary was great. This the second time I have seen him on CNBS, and he really packs in a tremendous number of bear facts in a short time period.
