Ken Wolff posts, and occasionally answers questions, over at the "Momentum Daytrading-Tricks of the Trade thread" if anyone's interested.

Eric,

It was Ken Wolff's recommendation of and affiliation with Robin Dayne that prompted me to leave his trading room. I met her in person at a seminar and was immediately convinced that she was full of b.s. Needless to say, I was very disappointed when Ken kept inviting her to hype her crap in his chatroom.

I seriously doubt that much of the stuff in her description on his website is true or accurate. These people have a way of making themselves look so great with a their claims, but Robin seems peculiarly unable to support her claims or respond to questions in this forum, the thread she created herself. It's obvious to all that she created this thread to promote herself, NOT to respond to questions about her education, credentials, or experience. I believe she is probably very lacking in all three areas.

Eric, like you, I am disappointed Ken Wolff associates himself with her. Had I not attended her seminar, I might not feel so strongly about it. But I went and I saw (and spent some bucks), and I was definitely not impressed. She won't answer your questions here. Not yours. Not mine. Not any. She might be a lot of things. But she's not "that" stupid.

Having said all that, though, let me not hesitate to add that Ken Wolff "does" know a lot of good stuff and is, imho, both an excellent trader and an excellent teacher. I followed him for a year and learned quite a lot during that time. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his room to anyone.

There is an outline of Robin Dayne's seminar available at:

http://www.mtrader.com/seminar.htm

However, as one person who actually attended her seminar, I can honestly say that most, if not all, of the stuff listed in the outline that pertain to "how to daytrade" are simply listed in the outline but covered barely or not at all during the actual seminar. All this stuff is merely listed to sucker new daytraders into attending the seminar. During the seminar, however, most substantive topics are neglected altogether or touched on in a very superficial and empty, careless manner. Robin usually leaves "that" part of the workbook for your reading later, as a homework assignment. Unfortunately, though, those topics are not covered in the workbook either. There is absolutely no substance whatsoever to the seminar. It's all smoke and mirrors focusing on everything but what daytraders really need to know.

So, if you're thinking of attending her seminar to learn how to daytrade, think again. You won't learn it here.

What you will learn instead, though, is intensive instruction on how to drink water, breathe deeply, mumble (scramble) to yourself words of confidence. You'll also get a nice sales pitch from the local sales rep for "Investors Business Daily." Wow.

You won't see anything how to use and interpret indices, stock charts, technical indicators. You won't get proper information on how to use any software. Robin doesn't know herself. You won't get anything on how to trade other than the usual "buy low, sell high" crap.

Oh, she may have guest speakers who either give testimonials of how great Robin is, and there may be some asset manager invited to speak about "asset allocation" and other useless crap like that, all stuff intended to fill up your time so she won't have any time remaining to answer technical questions about "how to trade." That simply won't be covered. Good thing, too, because if Robin really tried to teach how to trade I believe she might be dangerous. These things are better left for people who really trade for a living.

Yes, trading for a living. I don't think Robin can support or document a claim that she does that. At least, she sure hasn't yet, and there has been ample opportunity. I believe she has disappeared, dropped off the planet. Or, maybe she's busy taking a daytrading course somewhere.
