Sounds good Nicholas, but what happens when you get hard-of-hearing? <ggg>
Perhaps lights: green yellow red in a little window with the symbol? You could tell in a instant if the low alarm went off or the high one by the flashing color.
Annother way would be to have a window pop up in your face with the alarmed issue and its stats. If more than 1 they'll cascade til you get to them! :>)
