Mohan,

Kumar and Niles were part of a larger cabal. These retail and institutional brokers make most their money off transaction fees. So the more volatile the market the more they make. Repeat after me churn, churn, churn.... But this was part of a larger move to generate some churn in the small and mid sized companies.

They took away DELL's growth premium and applied a straight PE to arrive at the lower price limit for the stock. When it was in reach the buying commenced in earnest.

Oddly, the point and figure guru, Tom Dorsey, was seeing no bottom in sight for DELL yesterday. So much for investing with a rear view mirror. Also, it looks like HAL was a day late again on his bottom call.
Some people are just retards I guess? <VBG>

I bought Puts on DELL last week at 40 and made a nice chunk when I sold them this week at 33-34. But still a ways to go to recoup last week.

I've been looking at the Mercedes Convertible. But alas they have a8 month wait. I wonder what the wait is on a Carrera?

:)
