Frank, I'm in England at the moment having visited a NiMh/LiPoly battery component supplier. My take is that Li/Poly will eventually be a great technology but is a bit further down the road. As we've seen, auto companies don't exactly rush to embrace new technology. That would most certainly include LiPoly which is somewhere between new and vapor. It may include, for some of these cautious types, NiMh. I mean golly, we don't know how it performs during depressions, world wars and flare ups of sun spots-- none of which matter, but of course we need that data.

My bet is for 42volt batteries made of NiMh and liquid cooled coming from Varta and GM/O and with some sort of tie up with Bob Lutz and Exide (who they keep mentioning at ECD) by the 2002/'03 model year. Is that specific enuf a guess?
