James., No we are not raising a generation of natural born killers. What we have is a more sensationalized press corps. the true reality is that violent crime has gone down every year for the last seven years, according to FBI statistics. In fact, although interest in mainstream religion is down amongst today's youth, interest in spirituality is up. the reality is that our youth are becoming more spiritual and thinking for themselves. they are more savvy to propoganda, having been subjected to it their entire lives. they look at the traditions of their elders and try to determine for themelves if it has meaning. While that opens them up to making mistakes, it also enhances growth on many levels. You can not grow as an individual without thinking for yourself and making your share of mistakes to learn from....... mark
