MB, I think if they really knew, they'd all blame Gates. <g> The bloatware has gotten way out of hand. And assigning key parts of app's to Windows OS is a real problem. I have a theory that users are becoming reluctant to upgrade because of the difficulty in porting their applications and files to a new PC OS. I don't think you can use a backup tape or CD to load on top of a new OS without numerous problems. You're almost forced to reload all your app's from scratch. (And I don't even know where half my PIN's are). <g>
Over time I've learned to live with all the idiot-syncracy's of my machine. I'm not in any hurry to start over. I think a lot of people may have the same reluctance. If it ain't broke.....

My position in Lundin Oil is not sufficiently large to lay me open to spamming charges (i think), but if you study this thread, you see that this Lundin family has fingers in all sorts of pies, including a large share in the Sudan, which appears to be an extension of Saudi Arabia-type oilbearing formations that have never been much drilled. Most exploratory wells that have been drilled there have hit huge pay zones. The key to profiting is the 1000-km pipeline to the Red Sea that in fact is nearly complete.

Of course in the midst of what is still an OPEC oil glut, this may not seem very exciting.

Anyone interested in oil might want to take a look:
