Unfortunately, this article fails to look at an important factor in management capabilities and visions. You can put so many numbers there but this measurement of intangible, in my view, is extremely crucial for the success of any company. One more point, at a financial accounting point of view, the cash flow per share is a much more important figure than eps because of its hardness. This article fails to show that cash flow per share for E*Trade is $2.00 while Ameritrade is $0.08 per share in cash flow. Schwab has $2.55 cash flow per share. After all, the business requires cash to operate and run. Sometimes, I wish the media can do more qualitative comparison, rather than using numbers because it may not reflect the whole picture.
