Hmm, you must not have been around too long if you aren't familiar with Bre-X Minerals. It was a bald faced scam, and they ran the stock up to almost 200 if I recall correctly. It lasted for an extended period of time, and suckered in quite a few of some of Wall Streets bigger names. There's a thread on SI: Subject 7536 It's mostly after the demise. The wheels came of in mid 1996 when one of the key people fell (some say was pushed) to his death from a helicopter. The two companies are obviously unrelated. It is just an object lesson that shows that a scam can go on for quite a while, and be run up to unbelievable heights. Barb
