That's true, but with the solar setup, one does'nt have to worry about fuel supplies, unless they live under a never ending supply of clouds. <g>
I bought one 30 watt solar panel in 1984 for about $180 bucks, and use two marine trolling type 12 volt batteries for storage. The batteries have to be changed about every five years or so, but there is enough power there on that small investment to power a fluorescent light and small B&W TV, or the computer for a few days, and not have to worry about gas or parts wearing out.
This market has really been on a roller coaster ride lately, with no end in sight so far. Good traders market. Have a very nice extended three day weekend! Yogi
