INTERNET--(esecurities.W)--June 2, 1999 - NewKidCo As World's Non-Violent Videogames Poster Child?

"AMA Speaks out Against Violent Video Games"

"...The American Medical Association issued a release today speaking out against violent forms of entertainment media, including video games. The release read as follows:

We look forward to working with the President and with the patient and industry organizations represented at the White House today to address the critical issues surrounding youth violence.”

The AMA's release was a result of a speech given by President Clinton yesterday in which he requested the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission to investigate how interactive entertainment media is marketed..."
