Well for one thing I don't know why I am trying to defend the company I don't even have that many shares in the thing. But since you asked let me try:- First of all the point of the press release was to show ABTL generates more business than others in the industry and to show that they are the leader among the pack (they have an obligation to do that don't they?) Their revenue is larger than the others in the segment, they attract more eyeballs and generate more sales. The idea is that the more sales they generate the company increases their capacity to charge more monthly fees from participating dealers.. Why is it taking 4 years (?) to make money, well for one thing it takes a lot of money to advertise and establish oneself in the field. This is one of the reasons most iNuts don't make money for several years. If the company's primary objective is only to make money in the initial stages others with different strategies could decimate the company while they try to make money. The name of the game, they tell me,is to be the leader in the segment and ABTL is trying to show that they are by these press releases, like the one today and the ones before. Here are some examples.biz.yahoo.com biz.yahoo.com Here are some of the ratings from the brokers, granted most of them were the underwriters (most on Wall Street were in on the deal) of the company but still.Message 9099930 I don't think deception was the motive contrary to popular opinions of many here. I don't know what the future of the company or the stock is going to be but whatever it is to each his/her own as the saying goes. ====================================.....The company's Web site refers customers to auto dealers, who pay Autobytel.com a monthly fee for the service. While the $24 million doesn't represent Autobytel.com's own revenue, the total is an indication of customer interest in the site. Autobytel.com competes with Autoweb.com Inc. and Microsoft Corp.'s CarPoint. ''This validates that Autobytel.com is still the leader,'' said Midtown Research Group analyst Udita Malhoutra, who rates its shares a ''buy.''..
