"Will any of these investments pay off?"

Ken De Paul,
Some more napkin figures...I glady pay $70/month for Cable TV and Cable Modem from GTE. I also pay them for local phone service and pay AT&T for Long distance. Add them all together and I probably average about $100 to $120 each month. So each year I spend $1,200 to $1,440. Now toss in a digital cell phone at $60/month. Then it comes out to a whooping $1,920 to $2,160 yearly. Multiply it by how long I plan to live, and the answer appears to be a resounding, "Yes!" I'm sure Paul Allen has done the math too.

And I have NOTHING extra on any of my services. Just bare bones and I bet I'm an exception. Most people spend more on lot's of options. So if AT&T, GTE, or whoever, came to me and offered me a complete package (which I'm certain is the goal), I'm sure I would be very interested.
