If you take away the sales tax advantage, I can find most items for the same price from
local dealers, and I can get it within 10 minutes.

I hate AMZN as you know for lots of reason but retail ecommerce will not be based on price. It is strictly a convenience factor for that segment that does not like to shop or does not have good shopping areas nearby.
