Actually, they will. There is measurable atmospheric drag up to about 900 to 1000 km. It varies as a function of solar activity, which itself is on a 11 year cycle. We are near the peak of that cycle now.

All this is accounted for in Iridium's lifetime. They have to carry a small amount of fuel to counter for this drag. Once the fuel is gone, or once Iridium ground control stops maintaining the orbit, the satellites will re-enter the atmosphere and burn up within about 10 years.
