I agree, Tig. Information, whether positive or negative is always part of the evaluation. The posts pasted from Yahoo (via Stockman) have been great to read (and the conference call info)... Someone in SI posted a very good point about the 'buy'ratings on IPOs.. that you could expect the sponsors to initiate strong buys. But as we've been reading in this forum (also, summarized in quote.bloomberg.com Buy ratings were issued by others this week. Their marketing expenses may be enormous.. but buzz = biz ... hopefully not bust. Great products and even great revenues don't necessarily result in commensurate increases in stock value. Anyway,I was inspired by the fact that folks are communicating with NETP corporate and receiving replies. So,,, yes,, I sent a note myself. ================================= Following is a copy of what I sent to their general email address: ================================= The Silicon Investor website (www.techstocks.com) has a forum dedicated to NETP where I read recently that your company actually engages in dialogue with investors who call or write. There is something SO endearing about a company whose principals would respond to investors' calls/emails and scan the forums! Just on the off-chance that any of this might be useful... -1- CALL CENTER MGT SOFTWARE I read that you partner with call center systems. There's a company called MOSAIX which develops and markets call center mgt software. MOSAIX address is 6464 185th Ave. NE Redmond, WA 98052-6737 A few weeks ago they were acquired by Lucent.(or T?) -2- Supermarkets and Department Stores NETP could integrate their software with those supermarket shopper's cards (Lucky, Safeway, Shop Rite, and A&P supermarkets issue cards to customers that keep a running total of the $$$ of your purchases. Then you get a free turkey kind of thing after you spend set amount.). With NETP's product, the supermarkets would know exactly what to market to their loyal or perhaps sporadic customers. (they'd realize they need to stock more organic produce to get me back in.) Department Stores would have a field day if they knew their customers' buying habits. Note: A company called Catalina Marketing (ticker POS for Point of Sale)writes/sells software that makes a composite profile of a super market shopper based on items purchased and then kicks out coupons. They may also be creating on-line coupons as well. Could be either a partner or a competitor. -3- eBay A great potential there. Maybe the medical web sites as well? I also read that XML (extensible markup language) represents a significant improvement in transferring things like medical records over the web. Don't know whether that's a language that needs to be "accessorized" with your products, but it's garnering lots of excitement --- I think it's the result of the W3C (worldwide web consortium). -4- Enterprise Information Portals... (Viador, Plumtree)... not sure whether there's any alliance potential there???? ---- Would hope that the stock rebounds. Certainly, best of luck to a company that exhibits behavior that incites some happy chat in the on-line forums. Best regards,
