The opposing argument is that shorts will tend to cover, Robert. As this is a "bear market" in techs and Nets, I'd expect a bit of short covering Friday. These guys don't like to hold positions over holiday weekends. Still, volume won't be heavy. BAM

You may be right considering the pasting we have received recently but the data you are making your analysis with is flawed. Studies of stock market anomalies have shown that stock usually trade higher in the three days prior to a three day weekend. Traders don't like to keep open positions over holiday weekends.
