Melissa Mutant Appears Virus variation is disguised as an RTF file and hides from vaccines. pcworld.com interestingly, i checked norton live update just yesterday for any new virus definitions. none were available. after reading this article's warning... ["To protect against the latest version of Melissa, Network Associates and other antivirus vendors recommend that you update your antivirus data definitions regularly and be cautious opening suspicious messages, especially ones fitting the Melissa profile of "Important message from .."] ... i went to the norton antivirus update site and they had new definitions waiting for download. :) mark

No crow to eat there IMO. It's inconsiderate to make you wait like that without even answering your emails. If your feedback said exactly what happened then they got what they deserved. I'd be curious also whether ebay intervened -- or maybe they just saw your feedback? w

Dead mouse: My mouse started sticking -- something that cleaning usually fixes, but this time didn't bring it all the way back to smooth operation. I noticed if I lifted the mouse a little, letting the track ball ride a little more firmly against the rollers, it worked fine. Actually, I had discovered this a while ago, and back then tried to get a little height adjustment by putting some duct tape on the bottom of the mouse. May have helped, but it was a little rough in texture, so the mouse didn't slide as nicely along the mouse-pad as it had before. But I did get many months of use out of it after that. This time (same mouse) it occurred to me to use Elmer's glue: It dries hard and clear and smooth. Didn't put too much on -- too much and the track ball won't contact the mouse pad. Works sweet -- so far. Won't be using it too much though as I just got a new Logitech mouse. Very nice! Always used to have the bargain basement type. w
