BB.. its always been true. There are waves, or cycles of must have demand.. but the driving force is that for the same $ 3000 I spent two years ago for a 233mz Pent system, I can now buy a 500mz Pent III system that screams. I expect in two years to buy a 900mz Pent IV for under $ 3000. with 1 gig of ram. Somewhere in this progression of processing power voice recognition interactivity and higher bandwidth inter computer communications will make the purchase imperative. All excess gets absorbed, resistance is futile. <g>
