scott..csco/dell

can't compare, different purpose..csco has much more growth going forward in its field compared to dell..dell growth in other than what has brought it fame..dell must transition, csco must gain market...without switchers and routers, desktop again a paper weight.....without the internet backbone companies, dell growth is dead in the water...the advantage of dell in strategic partnering could also be weak link...dependence on others great, as long as others are as impeccable as you...if intc and msft closed their doors, what would happen to the integrity of dell?...conversely if dell falters, someone else fills the gap...msft, intc go on...same in the strategic partnership with ibm, dell the subordinate...at this point dell future growth may be limited by the direction and growth of the current alliance partners.....

it is something all the blind faith followers of dell must consider, it's reality...look at the food chain...is dell plankton, or the whale????
