At one time, due to Put options exercised on me, I had 50%+ of my portfolio holding INTC. Too scary and ended up getting out of bed at 2:00pm just to make decisions. Now I have "laddered" treasury strips holdings going out 3.5 years, with a bunch maturing every 6 months (which I use to buy more strips maturing 4 years later). Since I do not use margin loans, the structure keeps me from being able to act inan over confident fashion. I had and will to 100% equity allocation, but only for limited duration.

Some of my bonds are actually capital gain plays. My Bangkok Bank US$ denominated bonds were purchased at a yield to maturity (25+ years) of 20%+. More exciting, in some sense then internet plays; simply a bet on the largest Thai bank not going bankrupt. I lived through neo-1929 and it is not that bad. DIVERSIFY and keep some powder dry!
