Good question, JB, about why I left Ken Wolff's trading room and continue to recommend it. I decided a while back to quit monitoring all internet chatrooms, CNBC, and the such so I could filter out all the noise, the distractions, and just focus focus focus....you know, concentrate on my own trading, not following all the ideas and suggestions (tips ?) floating around the web. Needless to say, I've done much better. I developed my own trading style, my own rules, and have stuck to my method. It requires me to research a stock before buying it, quite unlike how it's done in chatrooms these days. I was tired of "trying" to act on all the conflicting and sometimes wrong information I was getting, trying to chase hot news stories all day, trying to win trading the hot stock du jour. However, Ken Wolff has some methods that probably are very sound and probably would appeal to certain people. I found them too risky for my taste, though, requiring too many things to go right in order to win. Of course, we all know that all these things don't go right all the time. What I'm saying, I suppose, is that I decided to quit the very short term momentum trading (which is mostly counter-trend, picking bottoms and tops) and concentrate more on other short term trading strategies with holding periods ranging from a few days to a few weeks. I'm now enjoying doing position trades on stocks that are splitting and swing trades on stocks I select using the AIQ T/A software and trading systems constructed therein. However, during the year I knew him, I always found Ken Wolff to be a very straight-up kinda guy, with good, solid advice and a very conservative approach, which I like. The biggest single reason, however, why I continue to recommend him, despite his peculiar relationship with Robin Dayne, is because of a good friend of mine, "threei" in the chatrooms, named Vadym Grafier who has remained there in Ken's room and has increased his trading portfolio over 400% during the past eight months. That's quite an accomplishment and I really believe Vadym when he tells me that. I believe him because I have known him for a very long time and he has considerable credibility with me. And, threei doesn't claim to be a guru and offer to sell me anything. Good luck, Bill
