This article implies that energy prices, and gasoline in particular, will drop during the summer:
Message 9817657

Sullivan said signs of crude and wholesale gasoline prices ebbing will likely result in lower gasoline prices at the pump during the summer driving season when annual gasoline demand hits its peak.

I'm going to bookmark this post and come back to it in a few weeks. Let's see just how "soft" oil and gas prices become this summer.

Ido79, I intend to see my buddies this weekend from Enron Gas Sales and NGC and I'll ask them which power companies around North America are bringing additional natural gas generating capacity online this summer. I am aware of a number of them. Theoretically we should be able to calculate their total increased impact upon gas usage.....

One thing I cannot calculate is temporary natural gas replacemnt usage for nuclear power units that come down for R&R....

Also on rig usage watch for "quick buck" turnaround projects to get priority intially, such as well reworks, cleanouts, partial redrills, frac jobs, etc.....
