Just finished ordering stuff from Amazon.com.
I tell you This is the best e-commerce site I have used, bar none!
I am a computer programmer (been doing this for 24 yrs) and I now build e-commerce applications. However, I still continue to be impressed by amazon.com

Just my $0.02.

Well, you just quoted the lead of every article on the television industry written in the last five years. Yet, you can't find a single top 100 market t.v. station that would rather be in the portal business. Also, their valuations are going up, not down. And why haven't we seen a network being offered up at a firesale price given its doomed future? You don't get the entertainment business at all...it's not about delivery systems.

William, but my understanding is that TV advertising revenue is still growing for the major broadcasters, even with market share dropping. There is simply no way to reach a bigger mass audience. This is the same reason that YHOO and AOL will dominate. In this space, that's where you get the biggest bang for your buck.

Well, I'm not an expert at TV for sure, but this story was in the LA Times last week. It confirmed for me the strategy of sticking primaily with the INETs with the biggest reach.
