I like the shape the balance sheet is in and particularly the cash position "The Company's cash position at the end of the first quarter was $3.0 million and $2.8 million in 1999 and 1998 respectively". One can only wonder where that cash might be used? Whitey,

5 cents would have been really stretching it. I had hoped for 2-2.5 cents, so from that perspective, they aren't great. Competition from some start-ups in Canada hurt results there. Now for the good news. US (obviously good) - the results are going to encourage more doctors to partner with Gimbel. This is the key to future growth. Canada - Gimbel has shown that they can compete with anyone - even at low prices. This is important because I know for a fact that the start-ups are bleeding money badly and can't compete at this level for long. So Gimbel is in good shape moving forward in Canada. Brazil - Volumes are really good and once the currency impact becomes less, this clinic will really stat to boost earnings - look for them to make a profit this quarter. Speculation - The results are not what has been driving the price up - there must be other news pending. I expect they'll announce another clinic in the US. The $3 million in cash and Results from US clinics will help them make this happen. Wouldn't be surprised to see two clinics announced before Q2 results. Alberta Exchange is down til 2 PM Eastern. It'll be interesting to see what happens at the open. I expect it might drop in the very short term as speculators sell. I've been selling some other stocks to free up some cash for GBV and plan to double my position over the next quarter.
