larry... to dispel another rumor, bto or jit, has naught to do with the ability to deliver in a few days time, it solely is the ability to deliver when promised and needed.....turn around time from order entry, does not change the model...if i have a component that is a twenty week delivery, i either stock one for future orders, and if orders never come, i eat it, or have my parts come in for the final assembly when needed...in essence i can build gas turbines, with a 68 week delivery and do it bto/jit....we followers of "direct from dell" have to understand the "buzz" and the real world application, and risk, of a perpetual balancing act....
