I have no way of knowing about the raising of dividends preceeding a split. Only been in less than a year when stock was 43ish.

However, I would doubt a split even at the 3:2 level at this price. In the 70s I could see it. But not in the 50s. Besides dividing up 8 cents by 3 (dividend on 2 shares @ 4 cents each/ 3 post split shares) isn't an even cent. So I don't see that there is any connection.

Personally I would hope they don't split at this price, as it doesn't set a good precedent. JMO.
