hopefully some differentiation will start to occur and people will discover the difference between go, goto and go2net

What if this confusion wasn't entirely bad? By this I mean the confusion may help to bring GNET onto the radar of more investors as they research things about goto and go. I am thinking specifically about IQC and ICQ. A headline for the former attracts more attention onto itself IMO because it "sounds" like the well known name. Just a thought.

GNET >>> Upcoming AGM, Split, Paine Webber, Furman Selz Conferences

Is anyone planning to attend the meeting? My guess is tuesday onwards we should see strong rebound because of upcoming meeting. Management will try to get the stock price up prior to the meeting to avoid seeing disappointed shareholders (Those who bought between $199 - $110).
I expect series of new news to come out which should take care of stock price prior to meeting.
Also Split date is coming closer, SI reaching 10 Mill posts mark milestone, Paul Allen's continous expansion and additions of new cable companies and internet companies, Paine Webber presentation and then Furman Selz all this should help GNET stock price to gain momentum and strength. Also the company will have huge amount from Paul Allen - Vulcan Ventures to aggressively grow the business.

Just my views.

I saw the Lou Dobbs piece, Michelle. The guest was extremely focused on getting the message out re future prospects and synergies among Paul Allen's investments. Thought he countered in a positive way every question he was asked. Enjoyed hearing him and Lou discuss before such a wide audience that their cable purchases were done more cheaply than ATTs. My Dad bought a holding in GNET the other day after I discussed it with him ($101/shr.), so I understand the previous poster's concern with having recommended an internet stock to a relative. Humbly report I enjoy everyone's contributions. tim

Yes, just think about this. One day we will all have voice comunicators that we can use like a phone but is the size of a 2 x 2 circle or square. I think we are in year one of the great tech ahead. It will be neat to see what companies come out with in the future.

Thanks for your report, Michelle. Things are heating up.

Think GNET's role in Allen's rapidly growing cable and broadband franchise (a la ATHM/XCIT) will be clear when the Charter (or whatever it will be called) IPO is filed. (This now looks like it's coming late third quarter at the earliest.)

Actually, it would be useful for Vulcan and GNET to start formalizing the groundwork for this era by priming the PR pump early, but I don't think Allen's finished acquiring cable properties. It sure looks like a much bigger acquisition is coming, maybe Cablevision and more. Think that would give Allen a total of at least 9.1mm subscribers. His ambition may be for 20mm+ subscibers.

No reason for him to stop now. When you factor in Allen's 65+ other properties, this thing will be a monster--much more powerful than anyone realizes.

BAM

P.S. For anyone who missed it, here's the list of Paul Allen/Vulcan investments that will factor into the "Wired World":
