sandintoes,

what you have to keep in mind is that the stock market is a long term game. You shouldn't buy a stock to make money in the next 6 months. You should have at least a three year time frame. And yes, I think that in three years you (and your daughter) will be very happy you held. In three years, there will be several million broadband users with GNET as their start (and hopefully finish) site, using its investment data, small business comunities, 3D interactive gaming and whatever else they can come up with. The future is very bright. Don't concentrate on the present.

You may call me "Headinsand" but I persuaded a relative and two friends to jump into GNET in the 140's and none of us are worried. These internet stocks are a whole new ball game from Mutual Fund investing and they require a LOT more homework. Take your daughter to the shareholder's meeting (if you live in the Northwest) where she can see the men who are running the company.... dig up some research on the quality of the management and the acumen of the large investors who have come aboard. This could be one of the best things you ever did for your daughter (finance-wise).
