TSF, I am a big fan of Simplot's microwave cheeseburgers and fries. It is just his DRAM that causes me heartburn. <g> There are many excellent analysts out there. The problem is, there are many, many more maroons plying the trade. Right now, a brokerage firm calls somebody an analyst if he can put the company's PR flack on his speed dial and learn how to download the spread sheet the co. feeds him via E-mail. It is sad. So far, the worst story was when our intrepid SI investigators caught MU misstating their semiconductor sales and their market share. No street analyst caught it. Dan Niles gave us a clue as to why. Here he is, THE AX, on Micron, and he doesn't read the 10Q statement. Strange days have found us.
