FWIW look here before you pass judgment. I sent the letter below to Jay. It's two different means to an end. One is PC the other is just C....correct that is! Message 9800760 What bothers me is the touchy feely liberals who think that words can replace actions. What was said to Tom was clearly wrong! By the same token, IDIOTS will always roam the planet. As a result, we can do one of two things: a) Deal with them in a hard hitting manner (fight fire with fire) b) Have group sessions to talk about our feelings, which results in a feel good smoke screen. I don't buy into the premise that talk & laws are the answer. Action is the answer. Everyone felt bad for Tom but discrimination is part of everyone's life at one point or another. Just as I'm sure you have, I too have been discriminated against. Am I going to cry foul? No way...I'm going to deal with it in a manner I see fit! Talk is cheap.... Action is the only answer. It's high time for people to grow up and quit crying suing etc. over ignorant trailer trash remarks. We in this country have found a way to make everyone part of a minority group thus leading to division. Next thing will be a United Blonde Association against Blonde Jokes. It's ridicules. Do we as a Nation really believe that we can unite by division? NOT A CHANCE! Which brings me to my conclusion: We as a Country need to do stand up and be counted with ACTION NOT WORDS. Bill Clinton has proven that words are as cheap as the hookers he dates. Laws, though well intended, are not the answer either. We need to be a nation of peoples not a nation of laws and minority groups. We need to deal with stupidity on a case by case basis. It's time to quit spouting feel good lines and start acting as a nation with a conscience. As it stands now.... We should put up a sign by the Statue of Liberty that says, "Welcome to Saddam and Gomorra, land of the divided minority states of America. We are Americans not; African Americans, Asian Americans, White Americans, Brown haired Americans, Blonde Americans etc. It was the UNITY that made us great… divided we fall!
