Your logic is faulty. In WWI and WWII, we did not attack until we were attacked. Here, we have invoked a non-existent doctrine of humanitarian intervention to intervene in a civil war. By your logic, we should destroy every country that isn't treating its citizens the way we want them to because in the end it will supposedly be better for everybody. I can't offhand think of a single country which isn't doing something which would deserve intervention. Including our country.
