Korea Real Estate 9:56 Sunday, May 30, 1999 SEOUL, South Korea (Reuters) - U.S. real estate and casino tycoon Donald Trump has expressed his interest in investing in the South Korean real estate market, local media reported Saturday. ''(We) continue to observe the Korean real estate market and hope to enter the real estate developing industry when the opportunity comes,'' state-run Yonhap News Agency quoted Trump as saying during a news conference Saturday. Trump was speaking at an exhibition of sample apartment interiors for the Daewoo Trump World, a high-rise luxury apartment complex to be built by Daewoo Corp in consultation with Trump Organization. Trump forecast that Korea's real estate market would see a relative boost compared to other Asian countries due to fast-paced recovery of the economy, Yonhap said. Trump said he also sought to set up a joint venture called ''Trump Korea'' with Daewoo Group to build and manage a line of luxury apartments in South Korea. Daewoo officials were not immediately available for comment. In November, Daewoo Corp said it won a $180 million order from Trump Organization to build the world's tallest residential building in New York City.
