Months before Pearl Harbor, the US Navy was engaged an undeclared war against German submarines in North Atlantic. US Navy escorts for British convoys were under orders to fire and deep-charge German submarines. USS Reuben was sunk with loss of life in August or September 1941. America was at war months before war was officially declared.

If Serbia wasn't a threat, why were our forces required??" What you really mean is that the US has occupied Macedonia for years forcing a dictatorial government open the majority Serbian population. This is the new model for the "American" world order.
