Bigbuk:

You are correct about the large spreads. However, lack of interestis not necessarily the case. The large spread is present to DISCOURAGE interest. It reflects a lack of liquidity, which is caused by the very tight float. Fortunately, the company recognizes this issue and is considering ways to add liquidity to their stock.

As far as why the stock is sitting here? For the most part, it is being held by the market makers (no, this is not a cop out. . . by reading the following, you'll see why). When OKTI was first beginning to catch investor's attention, many people bought stock at once. The market makers had little to no inventory at the time. By selling stock to investors, they went SHORT. Contrary to belief, a market maker being short is not due to its desire to manipulate the stock and mess with its shareholders. Having a short position is a natural occurance for a market maker, caused by a sudden rush of buy orders.

Because of their short position, it is in the market makers best interests to hold the stock down. That way, they can patiently wait until weak hands let loose their shares. . . at these low prices, the market makes will therefore profit.

However, OKTI is planning to force the market makers to cover. If they succeed, the market makers will not be able to wait patiently by holding the price down. Instead, the market makers will be forced to raise the price in order to lure selling. This should help to achieve a fair market price for OKTI.

As far as the terms of the acquisitions? I asked that question, but was unable to get total answers. I will do my best to see if I can get more detail. .. but I do know that the acquisitions are made through combinations of stock, cash, and debt.

Please don't hesitate to ask any other questions. . I'll do my best to locate an answer. Good luck.
