Joe,

<<I've learned one thing in the last few years...... seeing is believing, not seeing means beware. >>

There are a lot of very experienced analysts that thought they were seeing gold at Busang too .... it was only when third party dd was done by Strathcona, that we we really "saw" what was there.

I am certainly not questioning the honesty and integrity of the MG people ..... but how can they be so sure that the deposit is as big, if they have not evaluated the geology?

Joe - I would love this to be real .... Like you, I would like to make a pot full of $$$ ..... but (as you have pointed out a number of times) you have to be very careful in this biz ..... help me to understand why I should be confident of this operation and its positive outcome.

TIA

MB

<<I thought they had shut down Morris and others and their costs were too high given your definition of Ore (profit) and the obvious drop in gold. >>

Nope...still cash flow positive. However, a temporary shut down is possible next year if gold continue down.

<<CC, I guess I have learned not to be so sure about reserve drilling, COC, etc...... especially in thrid world contries. >>

I can understand your worries..after the Bre-X, RGA and maybe a few other stories. But I don't think it has to do with the country but rather with the people. We had Delgratia in the US and Cartaway in Canada. You will always find unscrupulous people...and not only in mining.

As for MAN...keep in mind that BGRM (that was the French government) drilled that property initially. It would be very surprising if the resources (they are not yet reserves) would not be confirmed.

<<Of course no significant debt. However how mouch have they deluted the stock to get this property and to finance themselves? BTW, where and how are they getting future operating money? ;-) >>

You have a good point here. They will have to issue another 2-3M shares this summer.... But they will still have only 27-28M shares outstanding... That is the same as MGAU I think... so it is not that bad given the potential to discover 2 or more other deposits like TG-1. Ultimately, they may reach between 100-200 millions tons.

<<Claude, so was BXM. >>

Until the scam was revealed. Joe, BXM was really unique in the mining industry. FOr each scam like this one you will find 500 real mining companies. OK...I am not saying that they are all operating 100% by the book.... but most are. You know.... there not a lot more than 1-2% oif the companies that are halted by the exchanges for doing something wrong.

<<I hope you are right because you have encouraged a lot of people to buy and hold and hold and hold and hold. >>

Well I have suggest more than one time to take profits and buy back. I think you were still a subscriber when I said in August 98..it is time to buy back below $1.50

<<I've seen the MGAU metal. Haven't seen MAN's.>>

Well MAN has produced at least 50,000 times more gold than MGAU has done as of today. Tambo Grande is still 3 years away from production, if all goes well.

....

May I suggest we leave this discussion on MAN to the MAN thread...and get back to MGAU.
