Kant thought that morality comes first...We believe in God because we have a sense of justice, and see that in this world, there is not by any means a perfect accounting. This provides a rational motivation for faith, so that God may dispense justice in the longer run...

"Is it right?"

Who gets to decide this one? There have been two major attempts this century to base morality not on myth or religion but on science. Nazis used eugenics. "Race science". Survival of the fittest, and they got to decide who was "fittest". There was a big dose of neo-paganism in the mix, but it only reinforced their "science". Bolshevism was an even more highly developed theoretical system based on dialectical materialism. No religious myths needed or allowed. Two real world experiments. If you worked within their theoretical systems, there was nothing wrong with what they did.
